The snake park is home to a variety of snakes common in Eastern and Southern Africa. From the black mamba to the black and red spitting cobras and the african python.
Some of the snakes in the park were brought in with the help of the Maasai living in the neighbouring areas.
Instead of killing snakes that may harm livestock, locals inform the park about any snakes seen in the neighbourhood which are then captured and taken to the park.
Other reptiles at the park include monitor lizards, tortoises and crocodiles.
There are also a few species of birds that were either orphaned or injured for which a temporary home is provided at the park.
